This website was posted on one of my mailing lists and I thought it was so fascinating! Now if only I had several thousand dollars to spend on antiques and a museum to put them in...

I especially love the copper ring (the first one on the page). If I ever learn to work with copper, I would love to make a replica of it.

And the rest of the website is worth a look, as well. They have some beautiful, if very out-of-period, textiles and Turkoman jewelry that might be of interest to Tribal bellydancers.
